who we are
About Campus Libris
Campus Libris is employed in many different libraries across the world, these range from private enterprises, to specialized learning centers. However we find that public libraries are the most deserving of our attention. As anyone can have a membership this ranges from infants to great grandparents. Our software is constantly being guided by a large group of librarians who work both in public and private libraries as well as in every relevant context. Our public access catalogue includes multiple query interfaces that appeal to each age group. Additionally we offer a highly advanced self service feature, self service checkout and return, digital resource management, reports, and equipment/asset management. Our commitment to quality stems from our original founding goal of providing you with the best service we can. At Campus Libris we’re a community of academic, special, public, and education librarians that work with software designers, automation consultants, administrators, and support technicians to create a truly unique experience, that is easy to use, easy to implement, and cost effective.
Our mission
The mission of Campus Libris is to be capable of easy access to human knowledge where ever and whenever you require it. And the initial step towards this is to build a universal library with a free-to-read, searchable collection of a million books, and that is available to everyone across the Internet. Within a few years, we expect to increase to 10 million books. The outcome will be a unique source available to anyone in the world 24/7, without regard to nationality, social or economic background.
Our vision
Until now managing and transportation of our cultural heritage was dependant on a limited number of copies in fragile forms. As such the task of preservation is much bigger than before but with new digital technology, this responsibility is within the reach of a single concerted effort for the public good, and we can use this effort in libraries, museums, and other groups in all countries.
Our story
Existing archives of paper have many weaknesses. Many other works still in existence now are very limited, and only available to a small population of scholars and collectors at specifics geographic locations. No one can manage to keep maintenance unless the archive is digital. Digital technology can make the products of man permanently available to billions of people all across the world. A universal digital library, broadly usable through free access on the Internet, will enhance the global society in ways beyond measurement. Only the internet can store a Universal Library that is free for everyone.
What we Do
Our primary causes
With our software your library can be better managed regardless of its size or location, and that’s our guarantee. At Campus Libris our developers worked hard to make the software 100% scalable and adaptable to fit your business needs. Across all our pricing options, we offer full customizability that include options for simple UI adjustments all the way to complex backend adjustments. Campus Libris also offers a wide variety of different models that work for circulation, cataloging, authorities, flexible reporting, label reporting, multi-format notices, offline access, and much more. Some of our more popular features include:
Library Standards Compliant – We made sure to build our application to be entirely compliant with existing library protocols such as MARC 21, z35.50, SIP/NCIP.
Fully Translatable UI – Our application features a completely translatable control panel that comes with a variety of languages translated, and also the ability to translate it into any language you prefer.
Search queries – Campus Libris ships with a comprehensive search engine built into it to help you get the most out of our application.
Network
When electronic libraries of this kind appear in many places and are linked to each other via a network, a huge virtual library is built on the network. It is a “world library” which crosses national borders regardless of the distances between actual electronic libraries.
Scalable
The Campus Libris can be used to build an electronic library in various sizes according to the available hardware, software, and data resources. The Campus Libris can be as large as a national library and as small as a personal library.
Digital
An electronic library has, not only text data but also sound, graphics, and motion video, in the form of digital data. Because all data is digitized, various kinds of data can be merged easily and a high level of retrieval and other processing can be done.
